Nottingham Photographers’ Hub secures funding for 2 new projects

The Nottingham Photographers’ Hub has secured funding from Children in Need and Big Lottery Fund to run new projects starting in September 2016.   The projects are as follows :

1. Young People Photography project

We have been awarded funding through Children in Need  to provide photography and personal development courses for young people aged 16-19 over the next 3 years. The project will start in September 2019, and we will be running 3 courses a year until April 2016. The project is working in partnership with Nottingham Skills for Employment.

2. Pathway to Resiliance

This project uses photography to assist people with mental health in their recovery, (re)integration into community life and will develop a practical tool to help users cope with the stresses of life that can negatively impact their mental health.

Photography is an accessible medium as most people like to take and view photographs.  Each course will run for 10 weeks and comprise a series of workshops that include a combination of internal and external activities.   We will cater for a maximum of 12 beneficiaries per course.

You can more learn about the course HERE. Please visit this page if you want to apply and check place availability for future courses.

The course is funded by Big Lottery Fund
