Digital Photography for Beginners starting 26th March 2013

This Digital Photography for Beginners course is aimed at people who own a digital camera and want to know how to use it properly.  During the 10 week course you will learn the basic camera settings, skills to develop your photography, and studio lighting. By the end of the courses you will be able to create technically sound, interesting and professional images.

The next course begins on the Tuesday 26th March 2013 at 6pm here at the Nottingham Photographers’ Hub. 

Course Description

The course outline includes the following
What is a photography
Making images: composition/ exposure/ focus/ aperture/ shutter and shutter speed
Lighting and using studio lighting/ Street Photography
Introduction to Photoshop

Tutor Profile: Steve McLaughlin

Stephen McLaughlin has worked in the Photographic Industry for over 25 years. Initially as a printer working for the high end professional market. Following his studies he became a freelance photographer working with a wide range of clients encompassing multi disciplines and genres of photography.

He has worked with various groups. His creative style has been recognised and utilised over the years gaining him Artist in Residence posts.  This has enabled him to work with adults and young people on various projects.

Although he still produces work for clients he also lectures in Photography at SNC where he has been for over seventeen years.
