Current Projects

The Nottingham Photographers’ Hub run a range of community projects with conjunction with local communities.

The current projects we are running are ;

1. Young People Photography project

We have been awarded funding through Children in Need  to provide photography and personal development courses for young people aged 16-19 over the next 3 years. The project will start in September 2016, and we will be running 3 courses a year until April 2019. The project is working in partnership with Nottingham Skills for Employment.

2. Pathway to Resiliance

This project uses photography to assist people with mental health in their recovery, (re)integration into community life and will develop a practical tool to help users cope with the stresses of life that can negatively impact their mental health.

Photography is an accessible medium as most people like to take and view photographs.  Each course will run for 10 weeks and comprise a series of workshops that include a combination of internal and external activities.   We will cater for a maximum of 12 beneficiaries per course.

The start date of courses during 2016/17 are as follows :

  • Thursday 8th September 2016 (this course is now fully booked)
  • Friday 16th September 2016 (this course is now fully booked)
  • Thursday 26th January 2017 (only a few places left)
  • Friday 3rd February 2017 (only a few places left)
